WORSHIP SERVICES

This page describes our styles of Worship Services.
For the current Worship Schedule, go to the Home Page

We offer a variety of worship service styles. We are a Church of the Word and Sacrament and that forms the foundation for all of our worship services.  We welcome you to join us at one of the services listed on the main page.

Worship Service Styles

Worship Service - Our worship service is exactly that, a traditional Lutheran Church Missouri Synod service with all of the trappings. Typically the music is selected from the Lutheran hymnal (blue) and the service is formal.

Praise Service (11 am) - Our contemporary service is much more relaxed and informal than the regular worship service. Some of the elements such as the Apostle's Creed or Nicene Creed, may be missing and typically the Pastor "dresses down" to business attire rather than the traditional robe. The music usually consists primarily of contemporary worship and praise songs and often adds guitar and drums to the more traditional instruments.

Holy Communion

As a Church of the Word and Sacrament, we cannot over-emphasize the importance of the Holy Communion for those who understand its true meaning and significance. Accordingly, we invite you to partake of the Lord's Supper with us if:

  • You are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • You have completed a course in Christian doctrine
  • You believe that Jesus is truly (not merely symbolically) present in the bread and wine
  • You wish to change anything that offends God
  • You want to live a more holy life with God's help

If this describes you, please join us for Holy Communion on the first and third Sundays (and Saturdays when applicable) of each month.
